We at GDDSS craft our garments by hand in our atelier in The Netherlands and work with natural materials as much as possible. For example, some of our handmade lingerie pieces are naturally colored with tea leaves. In addition, our collections are made by combining satin elastic with an array of the finest couture laces, embroideries and plated components. Everything quite delicate. So it is recommended that you take special care when washing GDDSS-garments. These must be hand washed separately in luke-warm water using mild detergent. Leave your piece to soak for a view minutes and gently rub the fabric together. Rinse well with water until it is free from soap. To dry, gently press the water out of the garment (do not wring it) and lay it flat on a towel. Machine washing and tumble drying will damage or discolour the garments! Our lingerie also contains many metal parts. You can clean these with a soft dry cloth. After repeated cleaning, silk satin fabrics might experience a slight loss of lustre. This is characteristic of this natural fabric. Pieces made entirely out of satin elastic bands can appear crinkled after hand washing. Don't worry, this does not affect the appearance of the garments when worn.
the story of GDDSS
own your sensuality.
Fascinated by the human body, bondage and lingerie, fashion designer Roos Boshart-Prins started her own lingerie label in 2019. Roos, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, was nominated in 2017 for Lichting, an award for the best graduate fashion academy students in the Netherlands. In 2018 she worked in the international MOAM project with some of the best fashion graduates in Europe and prominent fashion designers such as Walter van Beirendonck, Viktor & Rolf, Claes Iversen and Stephen Jones.
Roos wants to use her designs to emphasize the sensuality of women in a powerful way. "Every woman should feel like a true goddess in GDDSS garments: beautiful, confident, powerful and fully in control of her own sensuality."
